Media Alert: St. Francis Medical Center Hosts Interactive Exhibit: Horizon OMNIA: Another Redline?
TRENTON, NJ (PRWEB) March 10, 2016 -- WHAT: Explore Exclusionary ‘Redlining’ Impacts of Horizon OMNIA
St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton will host a powerful new community-driven exhibit titled “Horizon OMNIA: Another Redline?” Participants will learn about redlining – a historical pattern of exclusionary and discriminatory policies – and be asked to determine if they believe Horizon OMNIA is another example of this practice. Horizon’s new OMNIA health plan excludes many of the safety-net hospitals in urban areas from its most affordable “tiered” plan. Guests can also share their own thoughts and learn how to help “undesign the redline.”
The opening event and press conference is Thursday, March 10th at 1:00 p.m. Speakers will include elected officials, healthcare leaders and community advocates from throughout New Jersey.
The exhibit will be open to the public from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. through Sunday, March 13th.
