GameCommerce Selected by Major Retail Brands to Participate in Plug and Play Accelerator Program
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) March 11, 2016 -- GameCommerce, the leader in gamified mobile ads, is pleased to announce that it has been invited to the Plug and Play Tech Center Accelerator Program. GameCommerce was one of a select group of 22 startups accepted out of 850 applications. The 12-week program partners with brands like Mars, Target, Tesco, Kohl’s, Lululemon, etc. to bring disruptive technologies to market.
GameCommerce has developed the innovative PlayAds™ platform, which lets advertisers create game-like ads. So, users can engage with brands and learn about products in a fun and interactive way. Marketing results show engagement levels that are up to ten times higher than with traditional display ads.
“At GameCommerce, our goal is to connect brands with mobile users in an uniquely fun and immersive way”, said Nagesh Pobbathi, Founder & CEO of GameCommerce. “So, we are excited to be invited to the Plug and Play Accelerator program and look forward to the opportunity to expand our strategic partnerships through the program”.
In addition to developing gamified ads, the GameCommerce technology lets advertisers test them, creating ad variations on the fly, and deploying them over a wide range of leading ad networks and exchanges. They can launch campaigns quickly, targeting the right user with the right gamified creative and message.
Advertisers report that the platform has proven an efficient way to reach mobile customers. The interactive, gamified ads are a natural for smartphones and tablets. Mark Spera of BeGood Clothing reported “conversion rates higher than is normal for ecommerce” when his company used the platform.
George Damouny from Plug and Play commented, “GameCommerce is really interesting given how high of an engagement they are seeing with their gamified mobile ads. Traditionally, mobile ads are intrusive, abrupt, and really ineffective. Game Commerce's unique approach to mobile ads is disrupting the way mobile ads are displayed and consumed.”
Since 2006, Plug and Play, “the ultimate startup ecosystem,” has become the world’s largest tech accelerator and venture fund. It provides resources to a range of tech startups. It provides an environment where startups can meet with Fortune 500 companies to develop business deals, licensing opportunities and investments.
GameCommerce has a goal to deliver something new and better in mobile advertising. The company is led by Nagesh Pobbathi, a former executive at Yahoo. The team is comprised of leaders from mobile, gaming and advertising industries with backgrounds from companies like Yahoo, Apple, Salesforce, and Sega. Andrew Jasper, is in charge of Ad Experience. Jayaprakash Pasala, with experience at Salesforce.com and Oracle, is the CTO. Sudhir Subramanian is the VP of Engineering.
