Advanta IRA Announces Events in Florida and Georgia: Getting Started with Self-Directed IRAs
Tampa, Florida (PRWEB) March 11, 2016 -- Self-directed IRAs allow plan owners total control in choosing their own assets to build wealth for retirement. Advanta IRA is a self-directed plan administrator serving clients across the nation who use alternative investments in these plans. Their clients capitalize on their own knowledge to acquire assets inside investment portfolios by using these accounts.
Diversity within any investment portfolio is a critical rule-of-thumb for success. While holding stocks, bonds and CDs is recommended—these are considered traditional investments offered by mainstream brokers. Typically, brokers often do not offer alternative investments—like real estate—to their clients because they do not sell these options. Firms such as Advanta IRA do not sell investments or give investing advice, but they do offer administrative services for these plan types, allowing many different alternative assets to be held in plans they serve.
Alternative assets include: real estate, precious metals, mortgages, notes, tax liens, private placements, LLCs, foreign currency exchange, and futures trading. Other alternative investments are found in oil and gas opportunities, cattle, raw land, accounts receivable and the list goes on. The only assets not allowed in self-directed accounts are collectibles and life insurance.
“Advanta IRA allows clients to hold alternative investments in their portfolios. Why? Because diversity is key when investing, and alternative investments have the potential to garner income for investment accounts at a faster pace than traditional investments,” says Jack Callahan, managing partner of the firm. “While Advanta IRA does not provide investment advice, we do encourage investors to educate themselves on the benefits of self-directing their investment accounts and offer a wide platform of events designed to do exactly that.”
Advanta IRA is hosting lunch and learns on March 18 at both of their office locations in Atlanta, Georgia, and the Tampa Bay, Florida area. Investors of all levels are invited to attend. There is no cost and lunch is provided. All that is required is advanced registration.
