New E-Learning Course to Train Employees on WHMIS 2015
Novi, Michigan (PRWEB) March 15, 2016 -- MasteryTCN™’s newest course, “WHMIS and The Global Harmonizing System Employee Training,” trains employees on the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS 2015). Canada’s WHMIS has been updated to include changes to comply with the UN’s Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS), and all Canadian workplaces will be transitioning to the updated WHMIS requirements over the next few years.
This course, with video produced by ERI Safety Videos, covers the basics on the written WHMIS plan, the Global Harmonizing System, and container labels. The course demonstrates the use of pictograms on container labels, detailing the pictograms for physical hazards, health and environmental hazards, and transportation. Signal words, hazard and precautionary statements and other label components are explained. The course concludes with lessons on safety data sheets (SDS) and personal protective equipment.
