Foxconn Interconnect Technology and iPhotonix Launch Solutions to Open Optical Access Networking
Richardson, TX (PRWEB) March 15, 2016 -- Foxconn Interconnect Technology, Ltd., (“FIT”) and iPhotonix announced a launch of a joint solutions and collaboration effort on delivering new technologies within the optical access. The collaboration will center around interoperability, standardization of optical access networks, manufacturing and design expertise to create new and better carrier-class solutions.
FIT is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., Ltd., (“Hon Hai”) the largest consumer electronics manufacturer in the world. iPhotonix is an industry innovation leader for the transformation of optical access, network functions virtualization, and fiber-to-the-premise (FTTP) technologies.
The joint solutions cover a wide array of areas of cooperation and allow access to new markets by expanding mutual geographical presence. This partnership will leverage FIT’s large manufacturing capabilities with the extended functionality and scalability of iPhotonix’s software at the forefront of access technologies. Together the parties will introduce a large portfolio of FTTP devices (both active and passive) for enterprise and residential environments and market them to Communication Service Providers (CSPs) across the USA, Europe and Latin-America.
