Former Franklin Templeton Executive Joins Financial Trust Asset Management

Mayer, CFA CFP of Financial Trust Asset Management is pleased to announce today that Rick McCall, CFA has joined the firm as a managing partner and will serve as President and Co-Chief Investment Officer. Rick will play a key leadership role in overseeing the investment process and managing the future growth of the firm.

Rick brings with him over 30 years of experience in the investment management industry, with broad expertise in portfolio management and equity research. He comes to Financial Trust Asset Management following 18 years with Franklin Templeton Investments where he served most recently as President and Director, Franklin Templeton Separately Managed Accounts and Chief Investment Officer, Templeton Separately Managed Accounts.

During 15 years as Chief Investment Officer of Templeton Separately Managed Accounts, Rick specialized in managing global and international equity strategies consistent with the value-oriented equity discipline developed by the highly esteemed global investor Sir John Templeton. Prior to becoming CIO, Rick served as a global equity portfolio manager and equity research analyst.

McCall holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from Indiana University’s Kelly School of Business. He began his career in 1983 as an equity research analyst with Trusco Capital Management after which he held research and portfolio management positions with The Duke Endowment and NationsBank. While at NationsBank, Rick also served as Vice President and Co-Director of Equity Research.
