Jostens, the leading national custom jewelry designer and manufacturer, and the Portland Timbers presented players and staff with their 2015 MLS Cup Championship Rings during a private event. The one-of-a-kind championship ring commemorates a historic 2015 season and the team’s first MLS Cup Championship.
The 2015 MLS Cup Championship ring boasts 91 brilliantly round cut diamonds all meticulously set in a 10 karat white gold ring, totaling just over one carat.
The top of the ring features the Portland Timbers double-bladed axe logo filled with pave-set diamonds sitting atop a raised 10K yellow gold crest and set on a custom green stone. “MLS CUP CHAMPIONS” is written on the top of the ring along with a gold star to represent the team’s first MLS championship, all set against an antiqued black finish. Pavé-set stones cascade down the sides of the top of the ring.
The left side features the player’s name on a black antiqued finish and set above the Portland Timbers secondary logo, which features two crossed axes in front of a cross-cut timber. This mark represents “Stand Together,” the relationship between the Portland Timbers, Portland Thorns and their fans, and signifies the team’s commitment to supporting its community.”
The right side features the “PORTLAND TIMBERS” logotype atop a black antiqued finish. An image of the MLS Cup sits atop a background made up of the blue, white and green enamel flag of Cascadia.
The inside of the ring features an arbor with the date of the team’s championship “12.6.15” etched above the team motto “HISTORY MADE”. Below the motto, “RCTID” is etched into the ring, which stands for “Rose City ‘Til I Die” in honor of the numerous Portland Timbers fans who make up the Timbers Army.
