Largest Fertility Clinic in Asia Has Grand Opening Ceremonies
Seoul, South Korea (PRWEB) March 21, 2016 -- The largest fertility clinic in Asia, the CHA Fertility Center – Seoul Station in South Korea, had its official grand opening ceremony on Feb. 18, 2016. The ceremony was followed by a dinner reception at the Millennium Seoul Hilton.
The CHA Medical Group has been a pioneer in fertility/reproductive and regenerative medicine since the 1980s. Doctors from the Group perform over 10,000 IVF cycles a year. The new facility has eight doctor’s offices, three operation rooms, four ultrasound rooms and a fertility education center. The new Seoul Station center alone plans to perform 5,000-6,000 IVF cycles per year by 2017.
“Everyone in this room surely recognizes the fundamental importance of reproductive medicine, especially in today’s society where increasingly low birth rate and changing environments emphasize the need for Assisted Reproductive Technology even more,” said Dr. Kwang Yul Cha, the founder and chairman of the CHA Medical Group addressing the crowd at the grand opening ceremony.
In addition to IVF, the new Seoul Station center offers genetic testing to help ensure healthy embryos and sperm and egg freezing (oocyte cryopreservation) for those who want to preserve their fertility.
“CHA Fertility Center - Seoul Station was founded with the goal to both serve our patients in the best way and also to serve as the hub of research internationally because as scientists, our mission in life is not only to take care of a group of patients but to really change the world for the better.”
In that spirit, CHA Fertility Center –Seoul Station was built using eco-friendly materials, utilizes a completely paperless system, and uses the latest in technology for increased patient care and satisfaction. It is the first medical center in Korea to use a Bluetooth-enabled medical beaconing system to easily locate equipment, for example. Patients are free to wait in private waiting room chairs or explore other areas of the hospital until they are notified via their mobile phone of their turn.
Several hundred guests attended the opening events, including Dr. Yoshiharu Morimoto, CEO of IVF Japan Group; Mr. Tony Tan, Chairman of Singapore Medical Group; Dr. Beng Teck Liang, CEO of the Singapore Medical Group; Mr. Ding Mingshan, CEO of China Wallink; and Dr. Jonathan Seah, CEO of China Medical & Healthcare Group. Attendees also included celebrities such as singer Wonrae Kang and his wife Song Kim, whose baby was conceived through IVF at the Gangnam CHA Fertility Center. Actress Jiwoo Kim and celebrity chef Raymon Kim also attended with their baby daughter, who was delivered at CHA Women’s Medical Center.
