“We are thrilled to be working with Microsoft to deliver devices to businesses such as hospitals and schools across the nation with the best version of Windows ever, Windows 10,” said BAK USA Chairman JP Bak. “We are confident this will open up tremendous new opportunities for our company. Through our Windows 10 devices, our business customers will now be able to take advantage of all Windows 10 has to offer, running the most secure operating system that runs with all their LOB apps, while being more mobile and productive.

A social enterprise committed to hiring and training local, refugee, and ethnic workers in Western New York, BAK USA delivers homegrown manufacturing, provides equal job opportunities in disadvantaged communities, and acquires contracts that encourage minority hiring and domestic assembly. “Microsoft can feel good about the fact that they are supporting U.S. manufacturing and employment opportunities for local residents through the inclusion of Windows 10 on our devices,” Bak explained.

“At Microsoft, we’re committed to helping individuals and organizations achieve more. Windows 10 is the reliable, secure and flexible computing platform that helps BAK meet the needs of their customers,” said Jordan Chrysafidis, Vice President of US OEM, Microsoft, Corp.

Microsoft is experiencing a record-breaking response to Windows 10, already running on more than 200 million devices. Microsoft’s business customers are moving faster to Windows 10 than previous releases, with over 22 million devices running Windows 10 across enterprise and education customers.

As the relationship progresses, BAK USA will also launch an educational line of products for clients who are aligned with Microsoft’s innovative Shape the Future program, which aspires to increase access to Windows software for students across the United States.”

BAK and Microsoft’s commitment to education, paired with their new business relationship, has even gotten the attention of some very important government officials. “My sincerest congratulations go out to Buffalo-based technology company BAK USA for its new business relationship with Microsoft,” said New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo, whose START-UP NY initiative helped bring BAK to Buffalo. “A pioneer of the START-UP NY program, BAK USA has proven that local businesses can make a meaningful impact on industry, our economy, and technology in New York State, across the country, and around the world.” BAK USA’s success is a significant victory for the city of Buffalo, the START-UP NY program, and the future of technology products.”
