The Brown's Automotive Group in Patchogue launches "The Degrees at Work Program," a program that pays for the complete tuition of any employee interested in pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree while working at the dealership.

The Brown’s Automotive Group is pleased to announce their Degrees at Work Program. A first for the industry, this program pays for the complete tuition of any employee interested in pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree while working at the dealership.

Bottom line: when an individual joins our team, they have the opportunity to receive an education or further their studies while being gainfully employed. Only at Brown’s dealership can you make a living, go to school, save money in your 401K, and best of all, graduate debt free.”

“As the auto industry grows, we also want to give the opportunity for others to grow,” states general manager Gary Burke. “Even individuals who have never thought of the auto industry before as a career will find a wealth of opportunity with us. We offer a wide variety of diverse jobs. When some think of jobs at dealerships they often think of only sales positions, but we truly need much more than salespeople. We also offer exciting opportunities in managerial, accounting, marketing, social media, IT, call centers, service advisors, parts counter positions, service technicians, and even apprentice programs.”

Associate’s, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees are earned from Strayer University, in such distinct fields as accounting, business, criminal justice, information systems and technology, economics, human resource management, marketing, nursing, and more. “This is one of the ways we can give back to the community,” states Gary Brown. “We constantly hear about rising college tuition costs in the media and even if an individual cannot afford, let’s say a BA in Nursing, if they come to work for us, our dealership will pay for that degree.”

Alex Gormandy, Brown’s first employee to sign up for the “Degrees at Work Program” adds, “As a current Brown’s Automotive employee, having the opportunity to continue my degree at no cost is truly a blessing. This is the direction of the future. A bachelor’s degree today in 2016 is equivalent to a high school diploma 20 years ago. Having a degree today is a necessity in order to progress in any industry. With the Degrees at Work Program, it allows employees to strive for more and achieve success.”

Established in 1892, Strayer University currently has 40,000 students enrolled in 80 campuses across the United States. Both online and physical classroom courses are available to Brown’s employees.
