VoltDelta Participates in First NG112 Communications Plugtest in Europe
(PRWEB) March 21, 2016 -- VoltDelta is happy to announce its participation in the first ever emergency communications interoperability Plugtests in Europe, 14-18 March in Sophia-Antipolis, France.
The event, organised by ETSI and EENA (the European Emergency Number Association) was designed to trial independently and jointly all components of the 112 communication chain based on NG112 networks. During the event, different items of the NG112 chain were put to the test.
VoltDelta participated in the interoperability testing of its next generation PSAP (Public Safety Answering Point) solution. The Plugtest project centred on proving the interworking capability and efficient routing of emergency calls in a SIP based switching environment between a wide range of organisations. The testing also included video calls and use of enhanced location information.
VoltDelta’s emergency services applications and switching solutions offer a well proven approach for any emergency call handling organisation, and this interoperability testing ensures that VoltDelta is able to offer its customers a roadmap for future NG112 support.
We are proud our solutions were part of this event, and to have participated in this learning experience. Improving citizen access to emergency services is in our company’s core mission, and we will continue to optimise our products to do just that.
