Santa Barbara-based speaking management firm, the Joy Agency, announces a seven-city Spring 2016 nationwide celebrity speaking tour with professional surfer, Bethany Hamilton. Her tour will begin on Saturday, March 26th and it will conclude on Saturday, April 9th. Bethany will be speaking in Orlando, Florida, Melbourne, Florida, Kalamazoo, Michigan, Rapid City, South Dakota, Columbus, Ohio, Columbia, Missouri, and Bear, Delaware. Bethany’s tour manager Katelin Ridenour says, “We estimate Bethany will speak to over 18,000 people in seven days.”
Bethany came to the spotlight when she lost her arm in a 2003 shark attack. Instead of allowing her injury to dismantle her life and dreams, Bethany came back stronger and has gone on to become one of today’s most prominent and respected pro-surfers and faith icons. She now travels across the world to share with others how to turn their loss into triumph and how to gain resilience in the face of hardship.
