"Behind The Scenes" with James Earl Jones Highlights a New Segment on Pet Surgeries for Public Television
(PRWEB) March 19, 2016 -- A look into the field of pet surgery will be the topic of a feature on "Behind the Scenes", hosted by James Earl Jones for public television. As advances have come in medicine, advances have also come in pet care.
Veterinarians and other animal health experts will join this discussion of advances made in animal health care. Things that would have been fatal a few years ago can now be fixed, though the costs can get very high. A dog's stomach, for instance, can get stopped up for a variety of reasons. This used to be fatal, but now can be corrected with surgery. The same is true with accidents or injuries, that can be corrected with surgery now. Surgery for animal now is almost like it is for humans as advances are made in animal care, just as they are in human health care. The costs can get very high though, so there is a growing field of insurance for pets, which may also be discussed. Types of surgery will also be part of the segment.
