Linda Mae Foster was born in Detroit Michigan. Her parents and grandmother instilled Christian values in her as a child and Linda became a born again Christian at age sixteen. Linda’s first poem called “Still Waters” won the First Editor’s Choice Award in the National Library of Poetry. Her winning poem was later published in a book called, Verdant Lands of Spring. She has worked in childhood education for the Detroit Public School System, the Roseville Public School System and also worked as a daycare teacher. She now works as a caregiver for people with mental and physical disabilities. Linda experienced many obstacles and hardships in life that ultimately helped her to grow, mature and make more positive/responsible choices. Her goal is to encourage others to grow, improve, and to overcome obstacles – and provide hope to each person to achieve great success.
