Bi-Lingual Education is Discussed on "Behind The Scenes" with James Earl Jones for Public Television
(PRWEB) March 22, 2016 -- "Behind The Scenes" with award winning stage and screen actor James Earl Jones (Star Wars, Dr. Strangelove) will present a new segment on bi-lingual education.
Bi-lingual education is the use of two languages in the classroom, enabling students to become proficient in two languages from a young age. In the United States, bi-lingual education is often used to help immigrant students who cannot speak English learn the language as they learn about other school subjects. Policymakers, educators and parents debate whether or not bi-lingual education should be used in America, despite the fact that it has been used since the founding of the country.
Opponents of bi-lingual education say that immigrant students will learn English faster if they are taught only in English, while advocates of bi-lingual programs claim that the opposite is true.
"Behind The Scenes" is an award winning show which investigates innovations in a variety of fields including education, health, business and more. The show is distributed to Public Television Stations throughout the country.
"Behind the Scenes" is an independent production and is not affiliated with APT or PBS.
