Skiing and Snowboarding App that Covers the World's Resorts Now Supports Search for Friends Feature
Los Altos, California (PRWEB) March 24, 2016 -- Jolllyturns, the iOS app which has mapped all the skiing and snowboarding resorts in the world, now supports a search for friends feature integrated with Facebook friends’ list and the phone address book. Users can now connect with friends on Facebook, invite Facebook friends to download Jollyturns or connect with their phone contacts.
While using Jollyturns, users can opt to follow other Jollyturns users and track each other’s location on the mountain maps provided by the ski resorts. They can request to meet at exact points by selecting a location on the ski resort’s map. It is the best way to stay connected on the slopes without the tiring exchange of texts and dropped phone calls.
“We, at Jollyturns, are happy to be able to offer customers all over the world a new social feature right on time for the Northern Hemisphere spring skiing and snowboarding season,” said Ovidiu Predescu, Jollyturns founder. “Jollyturns has offered a search feature within the application, but now the search for friends feature is directly coordinated with their Facebook friends list and their phone address book. Once connected, riders can see where their friends are skiing or snowboarding on a particular day and request to meet with them if they are at the same resort.”
Jollyturns is an iOS ski and snowboard application that enhances skiers and snowboarders experience on the mountain by helping them track skiing and snowboarding statistics such as mileage, vertical feet and speed; obtain detailed information about ski resorts; determine where their friends are on the mountain and meet with them on the slopes. To map all 2600 ski and snowboard resorts in the world, the Jollyturns team has used custom-built tools to map, resulting in an unmatched ski resorts database. Jollyturns is also supported on the Apple Watch, for a better user experience on the mountain. Users can see at a glance the day’s statistics and who is on the mountain.
Jollyturns is offered in eleven languages other than English: Czech, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Spanish and Traditional Chinese.
The iOS ski app is backed up by the jollyturns.com Web platform where both users and non-users can check out ski and snowboard resorts statistics such as ski runs’ vertical drops, percentage of runs ranked by difficulty, most vertical runs of a ski run, new snow levels, highest base, top ski resort elevation, and much more. All ski and snowboard resorts can be custom ranked by regions ranging from the world to a continent, country, state or country area.
Jollyturns ski and snowboard iOS app is free to download from iTunes and first resort of choice is free. After that, depending on individual needs, users can opt for one of the three additional pricing packages: one resort of their choosing for $0.99, a package of five ski resorts of their own choosing for $3.99, or all the ski resorts in the world for $9.99. The resort package purchases are one-time fees.
