Center for Autism and Related Disorders Announces Telehealth Program for Global Access to Autism Treatment Resources and Services
Woodland Hills, CA (PRWEB) April 01, 2016 -- Center for Autism and Related Disorders (CARD) today announced the launch of CARD Telehealth, a new program leveraging existing technology to support long-distance clinical services for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The program enables CARD to provide individualized care to anyone with access to the Internet. Telehealth services will provide the level of care for which CARD is renowned on a wider scale, bridging the gap in communities with limited local resources for individuals in need.
CARD uses online training and curriculum resources to create a state-of-the-art Telehealth delivery platform that provides evidence-based autism treatment using the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) directly to clients in their hometown, even in the comfort of their own homes. New clients are asked to complete a series of informational questionnaires and an assessment, which are then used to tailor a unique treatment plan for the individual with ASD. A highly trained and experienced CARD supervisor will ensure that treatment is implemented effectively by providing evaluations, clinical recommendations, parent and caregiver training, treatment design, and ongoing supervision of interventionists.
CARD Telehealth offers three service packages: Behavior Reduction, Skill Acquisition, and a comprehensive option.
