Chromalox Unveils New 80 Series Single and Dual Loop 1/4 DIN Advanced Process Controllers
Pittsburgh, PA, USA (PRWEB) March 24, 2016 -- Chromalox, a leader in advanced thermal technologies, today announced the availability of their single and dual loop 1/4 DIN temperature and process controllers. The Chromalox 4081 and 4082 models control one or two channels and offer multiple digital and analog inputs, up to nine outputs, full profiling, data-logging and 5 PID sets. These features improve process control capabilities and permit true cascade or ratio control, gain scheduling and valve motor drive with feedback.
The greatest attribute, however, is the ease of use throughout controller setup and during normal operation. The 4081 & 4082 models offer a number of tools that streamline the programming process, including a setup wizard, on-screen help, front access USB data port and the ChromaloxPro™ configuration software. “Taking the guesswork out the controller setup was the key,” states Scott Treser, Director of Controls and Panel Development for Chromalox. “The intuitive setup wizard simplifies the programming for even the most novice users”, Treser added. The controller operation is further simplified by creating an optimized menu structure. This improves operational efficiency and reduces the possibility of errors.
The large LCD text and graphical display on the 4081 and 4082 provides clear process detail while full color inversion of the display backlight indicates an alarm condition, thus improving safety. Lastly, remote monitoring, master/slave control and BMS integration are accomplished via the Modbus TCP/Ethernet and RTU/RS485 communication options.
The 4081 & 4082 models are ideal process control solutions for the following applications:
- Plastics
- Extrusion & Rubber
- Industrial Ovens & Furnances
- Laboratory and Test Equipment
- Environmental Chambers
- Boiler & Steam Processes
- Food & Beverage
- Packaging
