Water Safety - Including Clarion's Pool Safety Sign System - In Focus at National Drowning Prevention Alliance's 2016 Educational Conference
Milford, PA (PRWEB) March 24, 2016 -- Clarion Safety Systems, a leading designer and manufacturer of safety signs and safety labels, is pleased to announce that as part of its ongoing partnership with the National Drowning Prevention Alliance (NDPA) to promote water safety, it will be supporting the organization’s annual educational conference to be held March 29 – April 1 in Phoenix/Mesa, AZ.
The NDPA Educational Conference is the leading national conference devoted to drowning prevention, designed to offer attendees the best-of-the-best in research, products, educational programming, outreach strategies, policy and code, and international relations.
Clarion will be supporting the conference by donating a full “No Lifeguard on Duty” pool safety sign system (for unguarded pools) to the conference’s silent auction event. Proceeds from the event go toward providing scholarships for students studying in a field related to drowning prevention/water safety to attend next year’s conference.
Clarion’s pool safety sign system is part of the NDPA’s Seal of Safer Pool Practices program – a collaboration between Clarion and the NDPA to promote water safety and best practice safety guidelines for aquatic facilities. Included in the program is a guideline regarding the necessity of posting best practice pool safety signs to effectively communicate water hazards and risks. As part of its program, the NDPA recommends Clarion’s pool safety sign system of comprehension tested signs.
Clarion’s pool safety sign system use state-of-the-art graphical symbols, color, language and special formatting to communicate the most serious water safety hazards like no other signage on the market today.
“Our safety signs are expertly designed to comply with the latest standards and to help fulfill pool owners’ legal duty to warn. Our signage has also been ‘put to the test’ – undergoing extensive comprehension testing designed by independent experts and administered by the NDPA – in order to confirm that key symbols and signs are quickly recognized and clearly understood by viewers,” says Angela Lambert, Director of Sales and Marketing at Clarion.
“We’re pleased to be able to share our best practice signage at this important NDPA event, and help our water safety partners there to promote aquatic safety. Our organizations share the same goal: to keep people safe as they enjoy water activities.”
