Mediaplanet Launches “Animal Welfare” Campaign Featuring The U.S. Farmers and Ranchers Alliance
New York, NY (PRWEB) March 24, 2016 -- To do so, “Animal Welfare” highlights the leaders in the industry who locate and express concerns about the well-being of farm animals used for food production.
Mediaplanet joined forces with the U.S. Farmers and Ranchers Alliance (USFRA), an organization consisting of more than 90 farmer – and – rancher – led organizations, to educate readers on the ways in which agriculture prioritizes the care and well-being of animals used in food production. Randy Krotz, CEO of USFRA, shows his support for the ethical treatment of animals in the campaign stating, “Animal welfare is fundamental to the work we do as farmers and ranchers. It’s an ethical responsibility – for the animal and safety of our food supply.”
The main mission of USFRA is to ensure the voices of farmers and ranchers are present in influential conversations about food and how it is grown and raised. The organization’s focus on animal welfare is rooted in science-based standards that are implemented by farmers and ranchers and a zero-tolerance policy for the mistreatment of animals throughout the industry. Animal Welfare is a cross-platform campaign with a national reach. Distributed through USA Today, the campaign is expected to reach more than 750,000 readers in print. Its digital counterpart will reach a national audience through one of Mediaplanet’s niche online content hubs. The print’s cover story, as well as the digital homepage, features Temple Grandin: renowned animal welfare scientist and industry consultant.
