Christians for Biblical Equality partners with Publish4All to distribute resources in Africa
Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) March 30, 2016 -- Christians for Biblical Equality and Publish4All are partnering to distribute egalitarian resources in Uganda and South Africa.
“I found out that rural area ministers were making many mistakes in their churches… because they lack basic biblical and leadership training… like not allowing women to preach.” These are the words of Pastor David Serunkuma Sebunza, president of the Uganda Rural Area Church Network and the Upcoming Church Network, also in Uganda.
In response to the need for educational resources, Pastor Serunkuma Sebunza reached out to Christians for Biblical Equality. In order to meet this need, CBE has partnered with Publish4All, a Minnesota-based global Christian printing company.
Publish4All distributes print-on-demand printing systems around the world, allowing members of the local community to print their own books and resources. Through this partnership, CBE was able to distribute copies of its books "Still Side by Side," "Called Out!," and "Biblical Gender Equality: A Summary" to pastors serving 800 churches in Uganda.
This strategy multiplies CBE’s capacity to distribute resources globally, according to Mary Lou Wiley, CBE’s development manager, who oversaw the project. “International literature distribution has always been a priority for CBE, but we’ve been limited by the high costs and long delays of international shipping. By working with Publish4All, we are able to circumvent the shipping process, meaning we can distribute far more literature for a fraction of the cost, and we can do so much faster than ever before.”
CBE is also using Publish4All’s print-on-demand system to deliver resources for its upcoming conference, “Truth be Told: Speaking out against Gender Based Violence” in Johannesburg, South Africa, to be held September 14-17, 2016.
“Never before have we been able to deliver so many materials to international conference attendees,” said CBE’s president, Dr. Mimi Haddad. “We know that every resource distributed internationally makes impact far and wide, and we are thrilled to be able to distribute more resources, especially at this conference, which will draw Christian leaders from all over Africa and the world.”
In its effort to advance a biblical foundation for gift-based rather than gender-based ministry and service, CBE sponsors annual conferences, facilitates local chapters, hosts an online bookstore, and publishes two award-winning journals. For more information, visit http://www.cbeinternational.org.
