Advanced Retention/Disposition Module provides Legally Defensible Program

Infolinx System Solutions

Infolinx System Solutions™, a leading provider of enterprise physical records management software, announced further enhancements to the Infolinx WEB software for the University of Virginia (UVa). The University of Virginia is made up of eleven schools in Charlottesville plus the College at Wise in Southwest Virginia. For 2016, the University was ranked the No. 3 best public university by U.S. News and World Report.

Reflecting the university’s long-standing commitment to excellence, the school’s implementation of the Infolinx WEB™ product three years ago enabled the UVa Records Management Office to provide state-of-the-art service for university faculty and staff. The installed Infolinx WEB application includes the tracking of research, organizational, and facilities management records, while also integrating with offsite storage providers facilitating the seamless transfer of records to and from these vendors.

The implementation of the Advanced Retention/Disposition Module introduces best practices to demonstrate compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements and reduce litigation risks. The University of Virginia is a state agency, and its offices and departments are obligated to follow the requirements of the Virginia Public Records Act (Code of Virginia, Title 42.1, Chapter 7) for retention and disposition of records. Infolinx retention functionality supports the collaborative process between records managers, records owners, and records custodians throughout all stages of the records disposition process
