Smart Parka, the World's First Complete Coat, Becomes the Most Funded Canadian Dollar Campaign on Kickstarter Ever
Toronto, ON (PRWEB) March 29, 2016 -- Smart Parka, the world's first complete winter coat, has concluded its Kickstarter campaign by raising a remarkable $3,257,695 (CAD) and has become the most funded Canadian dollar campaign ever.
With an original goal of $30,000 CAD, Smart Parka has re-defined the meaning of greatly exceeding expectations; surpassing its goal by a whopping 10,000%.
Over 8,800 backers supported the Smart Parka, which has now shift sales to Indiegogo InDemand. Smart Parka has also become the 2nd most funded clothing campaign in Kickstarter history, behind only the BauBax travel jacket.
“We’d like to thank all of our backers who supported us during our campaign,” said Jamil Khan, founder of North Aware Inc. “We’re excited to start production and look forward to seeing Smart Parkas keeping people warm around the world next winter.”
Smart Parka features built-in gloves that allow users to operate touch devices, a built-in scarf, tech pockets for smart phones and tablets, a length extension, removable lining for two-different temperature ranges, a hat pocket and many other innovative features.
Smart Parka comes in four different styles for women and three styles for men. North Aware is now planning manufacturing, growing its line of winter wear, and expanding into new geographic markets outside Canada and the US.
The final product is slated for delivery in August, 2016.
