More than 80 percent of teens report that students who drink or use drugs on prom night will drive afterwards, according the National Association of Broadcasters, and every year, more than 350 teenagers die on prom night due to alcohol-related accidents, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

In order to combat DUIs and alcohol-related accidents during prom season in Arizona, increased DUI patrols focus on specific locations, according to the East Valley DUI task force.
