PHOENIX (PRWEB) March 30, 2016 -- For years, there has been a gap in commentary available for the Book of Isaiah – until now. Dr. Theodor Rath, a man who dedicated most of his life to studying this particular book of the Bible, aimed to educate readers with his new book, Isaiah: A Ride in the Chariot.
Dr. Rath, who passed away in 2015, answered God’s call to ministry as a young man returning home from war. Upon studying the word of God, he began to understand that certain aspects of the Bible can be difficult to comprehend. That is why he was passionate about sharing his research with others. Before he passed, he had nearly completed his book and had given concluding remarks to his son, Mylen Rath.
“My father was dedicated to spreading his knowledge throughout the world,” Mylen Rath said. “His book can help all people gain a better understanding of the Book of Isaiah.”
The author’s life was dedicated to his faith. During the Korean War, Dr. Rath treated wounded soldiers and taught Bible classes during his time overseas in Tokyo. Dr. Rath’s commitment led him to becoming a pastor and eventually receiving an award in Arizona for outstanding Christian faith. In 1960, Dr. Rath received a Master of Divinity from Evangelical Theological Seminary, and in 1980, he received the prestigious Doctor of Ministry from McCormick Theological Seminary – both foundations for his new book.
“Dr. Rath had a lifetime passion for studying the prophets, Isaiah in particular,” Mylen Rath said. “After retirement, he often led discussions and seminars related to Isaiah.”
