NOVAtime Technology, Inc. Gears Up To Host its 2016 Encounters Conference
(PRWEB) March 31, 2016 -- NOVAtime Technology, Inc. (http://www.novatime.com), a leading provider of enterprise Time and Attendance/Workforce Management solutions, announced today that Peter Marathas and Steven Weatherhead, nationally recognized experts in employment law, will speak at Encounters, the technology company’s annual user conference in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Taking place April 20-22 at the beautiful Aria Resort and Casino, the user conference will feature over 30 sessions designed to provide NOVAtime users with hands-on training in the system, a preview of new products and product features, and insight into trends in workforce management. As the focus of this year’s conference will be compliance, various sessions touching on the changing landscape of local, state, and federal labor laws have been added to the conference agenda.
Two of the featured sessions on compliance will be presented by Peter Marathas and Steven Weatherhead, attorneys with Marathas Barrow & Weatherhead LLP, a Boston law firm specializing in employment counseling and compliance, executive compensation, ERISA compliance, employee benefits, and the Affordable Care Act. Mr. Marathas’ session, “The Top Compliance Questions from Across the Country,” will cover new developments and the current state of Obamacare, as well as common questions he has seen from clients across the country with respect to the Affordable Care Act. Mr. Weatherhead will present “Overtime and the Fair Labor Standards Act: Where We Are and Where We Are Going.” Both sessions have been pre-approved by the HR Certification Institute as activities that payroll and human resources professionals can apply toward renewing their California, GPHR, HRBP, HRMP, PHR, and SPHR certification.
“We believe continuing education is critical to our clients’ success. That’s why as a workforce solution provider, we are proud to be able to offer our clients with relevant, timely information from leading thinkers in the field of compliance, whether it’s at events like Encounters or through our ongoing webinar series,” says Brian Meharry, Vice President of Business Development for NOVAtime Technology, Inc.
