Greenberg Traurig’s Steven C. Russo and Robert M. Rosenthal to Speak at NYSBA’s Environmental Law Section’s Building Greener and Building Faster
(PRWEB) March 29, 2016 -- NEW YORK – March 29, 2016 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Steven C. Russo and Robert M. Rosenthal will speak at the New York State Bar’s (NYSBA) Environmental Law Section’s event, “Building Greener and Building Faster: Recent Developments in Green Building and Microgrids, Environmental Review and Climate Change.” In addition, Russo is the program chair of the event, which will be held at Greenberg Traurig’s New York office Wednesday, March 30, from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Rosenthal will moderate the panel, “The PSC’s REV Proceeding: Increasing the Use of Distributed Generation & Energy Efficiency in the Real Estate Sector.” Russo will participate on the panel, “NEPA’s Fast Act and Implications for New York NEPA/SEQRA Reviews.”
NYSBA’s event includes three panels discussing impactful developments that are affecting the industry, including recent regulatory developments encouraging energy conservation; the FAST Act and its implications for New York projects and SEQRA; and climate change and resiliency.
As chair of the firm’s New York Environmental Practice, Russo’s practice is concentrated in the areas of environmental law and litigation, permitting, SEQRA, government, energy, land use, and real estate law. A diverse environmental practitioner, he will continue his work representing clients in environmental litigation, as well as advising clients on environmental liability risks, permitting, environmental impact review, as well as Brownfield acquisitions and redevelopment.
Rosenthal focuses his practice on environmental and energy law matters, including litigation and permitting. He is experienced with the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act and associated state programs, the New York Solid Waste Management Act, and the New York Public Service Law. He also concentrates his practice on State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) review; toxic tort litigation; Brownfields redevelopment; and the governmental, environmental, and energy aspects of land use and real estate.
