Bracket-Style Fundraiser Expands to Cincinnati Area in 2017, Promises $10K to Winning Nonprofit
CINCINNATI (PRWEB) March 31, 2016 -- Calling all Cincinnati area nonprofits: March Madness may be ending soon, but charitable organization Brackets For Good challenges your organization to some friendly competition.
Indianapolis-based Brackets For Good hosts online, bracket-style fundraising tournaments every March in philanthropic communities around the United States. Since its kickoff contest in 2012, Brackets For Good has raised more than $2 million for local charities. Due to overwhelming success, the tournament expanded from Indianapolis to Louisville in 2014, entered St. Louis, Ann Arbor, and Minneapolis in 2016, and is now proud to announce its expansion into the Cincinnati area in 2017.
“Cincinnati is a community we've been hoping to expand into for a long time,” said Matt McIntyre, executive director for Brackets For Good. “The close proximity to Indianapolis is great! Moreover, it's a great sports town with a great community of nonprofits, and many of which have already asked us to expand. Here we come!"
In each tournament market, participating nonprofit organizations compete to out-fundraise opponents, earn increased exposure, and have a chance to win $10,000 from generous corporate sponsors. Further, participating nonprofits keep 100 percent of donations received during tournament play.
Cincinnati-based nonprofit organizations interested in participating in the 2017 tournament should register to be considered by Oct. 28, 2016. Registration is free at cincinnati.bfg.org.
Sponsorship opportunities remain available for interested parties in the Cincinnati area as well. Presenting Sponsor, Bingham Greenebaum Doll LLP (BGD), and Division Sponsor, Topic Design are already looking forward to their involvement in the 2017 Brackets For Good tournament in Cincinnati:
"Cincinnati has such a vibrant philanthropic sector and we're excited to help shine another spotlight on all the great work going on here through the Brackets For Good fundraising tournament next year,” said Daniel J. Donnellon, managing attorney of BGD’s Cincinnati office. “Through our sponsorship over the past three years, we’ve witnessed Brackets For Good's competitive giving platform significant impact in both Louisville and Indianapolis first hand.”
"We work with many nonprofits, and this is a great way for them - no matter the size - to talk about their impact, showcase the great work we're doing, and engage with the local community in a fun way," said Deanna Hengge, CEO of Topic Design, a 2017 Divisional Sponsor.
