Movable Ink Celebrates With 2016 Email Experience Council Award Winners
New York, NY (PRWEB) March 31, 2016 -- Movable Ink, the global leader in contextual email technology, congratulates Palace Sports & Entertainment and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts along with all of the 2016 eec Email Marketing Program Award winners.
The Email Experience Council (eec) is the email marketing arm of the Direct Marketing Association (DMA). They created the Email Marketing Program Awards to promote excellence in email marketing by showcasing the impact email has in the marketplace and within organizations. Winning campaigns were judged on their ability to assist the brand in achieving larger business goals while also demonstrating innovative thinking in email communication and content.
Out of 45 entries that spanned a total of seven award categories, Movable Ink powered the dynamic content behind two winning campaigns including:
Most Innovative use of Customer or Other Data: Detroit Pistons, Jason Scott – Manager, eMarketing, Palace Sports & Entertainment. The Pistons Interactive Gameday Guide used Movable Ink to pull in real time data before during and after the game, including team matchup stats, live stats of players on the floor, and box score of final game stats. The emails also feature a live traffic map that updates in real-time to help fans find the optimal route in and out of the venue.
“The objective of our Pistons Interactive Gameday Guide email campaign was to transform what’s traditionally been a one-touch static marketing touchpoint into a live second screen experience for fans,” said Jason Scott, eMarketing Manager for Palace Sports & Entertainment. “The live, dynamic content we pulled into the emails using Movable Ink generated such great results that we plan to expand this to pre-event emails for our other entertainment venues.”
Best Makeover of an Existing Email Program: Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Michael Bonser – Sr. Mgr, Email Marketing, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. The original "72 Hour Sale" campaign featured a countdown timer, but they wanted to make the email more creative and informational. Using Movable Ink, Wyndham added personalized messaging and featured key hotel properties, rates, and discount that updated at the time of open. They even pulled in live weather data for each property to further entice people to book.
“As a hospitality brand, Wyndham's goal is to make the booking experience as easy as possible, and email is a great place to provide content that helps customers discover and choose from their many properties,” said Kristy O'Neill, Account Manager for Movable Ink. “We were able to work with Wyndham to reinvent their 72 Hour Sale emails with more personalized, enticing, and timely content, which ultimately helped increase bookings and revenue.”
Palace Sports & Entertainment and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts will be honored and presented with their awards along with all of the 2016 eec Email Marketing Program Award winners during a special celebratory luncheon at the DMA’s Email Evolution Conference, which will be held March 30 – April 1, 2016 in New Orleans.
