Empyr Partners with Thanks Again to Offer Access to Thousands More Online and Offline Restaurant Discounts Nationwide
San Diego, California (PRWEB) March 30, 2016 -- Thanks Again, the leading loyalty and consumer engagement platform that makes travel more rewarding for frequent travelers, announced today its partnership with Empyr, a fast-growing online-to-offline (O2O) commerce platform featuring a leading restaurant rewards program.
“The partnership with Thanks Again will provide our loyalty members more access and flexibility when it comes to earning rewards,” said Jon Carder, Cofounder and CEO of Empyr. “We’re excited to extend the reach of the Empyr platform to one of the biggest coalitions of local merchants and airports around the country.”
According to a recent study by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, 93% of commerce (over $4 trillion dollars annually) is conducted offline. By partnering with such customer loyalty programs as Thanks Again, members reap otherwise untapped offline benefits – more places to earn their favorite rewards in more ways via an ever-expanding league of participating merchants. The Empyr platform bridges the online to offline worlds.
“We expect hundreds of new restaurants and other merchants to be added every month through this relationship,” said Ed Puckhaber, President and COO of Thanks Again. “Thanks Again, over the past five-plus years, has built a rapidly growing network of merchants where its members currently earn rewards in and around more than 100 airports throughout the U.S. and that pairs well with Empyr’s nationwide reach and scalability.”
Phase I of this collaboration, launching now, involves Thanks Again onboarding Empyr merchants to the Thanks Again loyalty platform. Enrolled members will typically earn frequent flyer miles, hotel points, or cash back each time they use an enrolled credit or debit card at a participating Empyr location.
Phase II, rolling out later in 2016, involves Empyr onboarding Thanks Again merchants to its O2O platform. Empyr is the first to successfully track an online advertisement to an offline purchase using any linked debit or credit card, in real-time.
“We’ve eliminated the friction points of traditional loyalty programs for offline businesses, such as training staff or installing equipment, and for consumers, such as having to show a coupon,” said Carder. “With Empyr, there is zero friction—consumers simply pay with a linked debit or credit card like they normally would. Empyr tracks the purchase and everyone is rewarded without requiring the merchant or the consumer to do anything more.”
