Scottsdale, AZ (PRWEB) March 31, 2016
The Great Australian Bakery is opening their doors in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale on Thursday, March 31, 2016.
The restaurant is a quick serve counter style restaurant specializing in traditional Australian favorites. The menu consists of authentically made meat pies, old world style Australian pasties, deliciously fresh sausage rolls and tasty Australian style dessert pastries. The recipes come from the family recipes of Daniel Rose. Rose owns and operates a restaurant in Australia and flew here to the U.S. to personally teach those working at the restaurant how to make the meals.
Each menu item will be made fresh daily. The items will be placed into hot and cold display cases, so guests can walk in and see all of the delicious delicacies in front of them and pick the one that suits their appetite. The Great Australian Bakery will offer both traditional favorites as well as vegetarian options. The ingredients will be of the freshest and finest qualities, with the pastries also made in house from scratch. Passport Coffee Co. is providing the finest blend of coffee which will be brewed fresh and served from a specialty coffee station being built within the restaurant. The blend is some of the finest offered from the “land down under.”
“We are excited to bring to the valley a food experience unlike any other,” says Laurence Lindahl, founder of The Great Australian Bakery. “We hope to be an option for people looking for good food fast, that will not only look but taste authentic.”

About The Great Australian Bakery:
The Great Australian Bakery was created after owner Laurence Lindahl visited the shop of Australian chef Daniel Rose. That visit was a reminder to Lindahl of his long time passion to open up a bakery of his own to give people here in Arizona a taste of his native Australia. The Great Australian Bakery is fresh food served in a counter style atmosphere. Traditional Australian meat pies, pasties, sausage rolls and pastries will be made fresh daily and displayed in hot and cold display cases. A special blend of Australian inspired beverages will complete the menu. The restaurant, located in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale, will also cater to those late night crowds the area is known for.
