The Ad Council and Love Has No Labels’ brand partners will be honored on April 7, 2016

Cynopsis is proud to announce that the Ad Council and its brand partners will receive the event’s top honors for the groundbreaking campaign, Love Has No Labels, at the second annual Social Good Awards program. This must-attend breakfast celebration will salute TV’s commitment to community and will honor the most outstanding marketing, digital initiatives, programming and executives who are leading the way in the social good sector.

As part of the festivities, Cynopsis will also pay tribute with a special Visionary Award, which is given to an extraordinary campaign that has changed the way brands connect with communities across the country and around the world. This year will see executives from the Ad Council, The Coca-Cola Company, PepsiCo, P&G, Unilever, State Farm®, R/GA, and Upworthy accept the award for the powerful Love Has No Labels campaign, which was the second most viewed community activism campaign of all time.

“What made this campaign special was its simplicity of message in the face of its inherent complexity,” said Cynopsis publisher Roberta Caploe. “In a gentle yet effective way, the Love Has No Labels campaign encouraged people to reflect on their own unrecognized prejudices and move past them. We were quite impressed with the breadth of this initiative, which is why we chose to honor it at our event.”

“We are thrilled to be honored with this special award along with our brand and creative partners,” said Lisa Sherman, president and CEO of the Ad Council. “Love Has No Labels instantly struck an emotional chord with people throughout the world and initiated a dialogue about the importance of accepting and loving others, and celebrating our differences.”

At press time, honorees include Lisa Sherman, President & CEO - The Ad Council and Heather Bell, Senior Account Director and Client Lead - The Coca-Cola Company, with more to come.

The Cynopsis Social Good Awards Breakfast finalists will also be honored on Thursday, April 7 from 8:15-10:30 a.m. at The New York Athletic Club in New York City. Honorees include A+E Networks, Arby’s, Cartoon Network, CNN, The Dannon Company, Deutsch Inc., ESPN, FOX Sports, JetBlue Airways, MLB, NBCUniversal, Netflix, Sony Pictures, Time Warner Cable, Univision Communications Inc., Viacom, and more.
