Auberle to Celebrate Success of Local Children and Families at 30th Annual All Star Banquet
McKeesport, PA (PRWEB) April 01, 2016 -- Auberle will hold its 30th annual All-Star Banquet on Monday, April 4th to celebrate the achievements of 45 local children and families. The theme of this year’s All Star Banquet is “Success Grows at Auberle.” Honorees will be recognized for their accomplishments in the past year including academic, athletic and behavioral successes.
“The All Star Banquet truly represents Auberle because it focuses on the success of the youth and families that we serve” said Auberle CEO John Lydon. “And recognizing that we do not do it alone, this year we will recognize Marc Cherna and the Allegheny County Department of Human Services as our Community Partner because their constant innovation and striving for better outcomes positively impacts our work and the youth and families that we serve.”
The Community Partner Award is given to Auberle partners whose time and efforts have a valued impact on the lives of youth and families in the Pittsburgh region. It was the Allegheny County Department of Human services and Marc Cherna who provided visionary leadership in partnering with Auberle to develop the 412 Youth Zone. The 412 Youth Zone is a safe and welcoming one-stop center for 1,500 youth in Allegheny County aging out of the foster care system. At the 412 Youth Zone, youth can gain stability, build positive relationships, learn life skills, meet basic needs, foster creative expression and gain guidance on the right path toward a successful future.
The 412 Youth Zone was mentioned in an article published by Noah Brode at 90.5 WESA: http://wesa.fm/post/new-facility-helping-former-foster-children-transition-adulthood.
