The 4th Annual Hero Walk for Autism, which takes place on Sunday, April 17, starts at 1 p.m. at the Riverside City College baseball stadium at the Evans Sports Complex (Field A) and is sponsored by the Inland Empire Autism Society. “I am honored to assist this altruistic organization in its support of people with autism and those families who have loved ones with autism,” said Josh Terraneau - State Farm insurance agent, who has two autistic nephews. “In addition to walking, I will be a vendor and sponsor of the event, and I encourage the entire community to come out and walk.”
The Hero Walk for Autism is a call for all superheroes and princesses to support their local autism community. The event includes a resource fair and family fun day featuring an assortment of free activities designed for children and teens with autism and their families, including face painting, arts and crafts, and more. All funds raised stay in the Inland Empire.
Children (17 years and under) and individuals with autism will be admitted free. Adults pay $15 to register. The first 1,000 adults who register will receive a Hero Walk drawstring bag; the first 600 children who register will receive an Autism Awareness bandana. Parking is free for all attendees.
