Gore and Amphenol Offer Superior Ethernet Interconnect Performance for Military and Civil Aircraft Applications

(Gore) and Amphenol Corporation recently launched high-speed interconnect offerings to deliver superior 10 Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) performance for military and civil aircraft applications. Engineered for the demands of modern airborne digital networks, GORE® Aerospace Ethernet cables exceed Cat6a requirements in a small, lightweight, flexible and routable package. These cables feature individually shielded pairs that provide enhanced electrical performance with lower signal attenuation and minimal crosstalk.
In addition, Gore’s Cat6a cable terminated with Amphenol® Oval Contact System (OCS) 13-53 provides reliable signal integrity up to 80 meters while meeting the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) 568-C.2 requirements for high-speed data transmission up to 10 Gigabits per second (Gb/s). This connector-cable combination exceeds standard requirements by providing return loss less than -20 dB and crosstalk less than -55 dB through 500 MHz.
