To date, StraighterLine has enrolled nearly 50,000 students and saved taxpayers and students over $108,000,000 dollars.*

"With a network of 100 accredited colleges where we can guarantee credit transfer, students can save money on just about any degree they want by starting with StraighterLine," says Burck Smith, StraighterLine CEO and Founder, "and students can also earn tuition discounts at colleges through StraighterLine's Scholarship program – saving up to 60% on the cost of their degree. Our partner colleges love it because these transferring students are more likely to persist to a degree than the rest of their students."

How it Works

StraighterLine empowers students to affordably earn their college degree by providing convenient access to general education courses guaranteed to transfer to accredited colleges and universities in its partner network. StraighterLine creates course-to-course articulation agreements with partner colleges that specifies which StraighterLine courses will be accepted by the school for guaranteed credit transfer. Course credits are also considered by more than 2,000 other colleges and universities for transfer to their degree programs through ACE CREDIT.

The online courses and programs offered by Straighterline and its partner colleges allow students to study on their own schedules and move at a pace that fits their lives. Students can start, or restart, their degrees at StraighterLine for just $99 a month, plus a one-time course fee, and then transfer their completed courses seamlessly to any one of StraighterLine’s partner colleges.

*Total StraighterLine savings is compared to the average, in-state, published tuition and fees at a public four year college plus the average amount of contribution paid by state and local taxpayers. For 2014 - 2015, the average published tuition and fees is $9140 which represents an average of 47% of a public institution's revenue.
