Austin, TX & Jacksonville, FL (PRWEB) April 04, 2016 -- Lauren M. Burnette, an accomplished litigator and defense counsel with extensive experience in consumer finance law, has joined Barron & Newburger, P.C. as Managing Attorney of the new Jacksonville, Florida office.
For the last eight years, Ms. Burnette has been a shareholder and senior associate with Marshall Dennehy Warner Colman & Goggin, most recently working in their Jacksonville, Florida office. There she focused on consumer credit litigation and compliance, including the defense of creditors, buyers and collection professionals, with emphasis on defense of FDCPA, FCRA and TCPA claims. Prior to Ms. Burnette’s tenure at Marshall Dennehey, she specialized in the defense of legal, commercial and consumer professionals in central Pennsylvania. A skilled legal writer, Ms. Burnette has obtained many favorable and precedential decisions affecting the consumer financial services industry in both state and federal trial and appellate courts.

Ms. Burnette is a 2000 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree. She earned her Juris Doctor Degree in 2003 from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. She is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Florida, the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Pennsylvania, the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland, and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Third and Fourth Circuits.
