Fort Dodge Harmony Brigade Barbershop Chorus Presents “BarbershoppersOnly.com – A Match Through Harmony” For Their 69th Annual Show On April 9, 2016
Fort Dodge, Iowa (PRWEB) April 04, 2016 -- By adding a little comedy and using a theme patterned after the dating website farmersonly.com, the Fort Dodge Harmony Brigade Barbershop Chorus promises to have the audience laughing and dancing all at the same time. This year marks the 69th Annual Show appropriately titled “BarbershoppersOnly.com – A Match Through Harmony”
The members of the chorus are tasked with finding dates so they can all attend the local ball.
“Most of us are a little older, so we consider dating sites new technology,”says Jack Weber, President of the Harmony Brigade. This is where the story takes everyone through comedy and romance as they have fun with the new world of dating.
Popular tunes featured during the show include “Something”, “Hey, Good Lookin,” “God Bless the USA,” “Harmony Rag”, “Happy Together” and “When I Fall in Love”. The entire show will be four-part a capella. No instruments are used for the two-hour show.
Award-winning quartets are also part of the program each year. A Mighty Wind from Atlanta, Georgia joins the group singing many of their songs that have taken them to recently be selected as the 6th Place 2015 International Finalist. The Vintage Sound is a quartet from Des Moines and will be presenting their new material and sound to delight the audience.
Show times will be at 2 pm and 7 pm at the Fort Dodge Middle School, 800 North 32nd Street, Fort Dodge, IA. Tickets are now available from members, online and at the HyVee Store in Fort Dodge for $10 for Adults and $4 for Children. Tickets purchased at the door are $12 and $5. All proceeds are used to fund the annual Youth In Harmony program that is offered to students in the area schools to teach them about singing in harmony.
