Shaker & Spoon, a monthly cocktail subscription box, today announces that Russell Davis has joined the company as Chief Cocktail Officer. Davis, who is a leading bar/mixology/spirits consultant and bar industry entrepreneur, was co-star of and expert on Spike TV’s Bar Rescue and is the current co-host of The Road Rash Podcast. In addition to being named Nightclub & Bar’s 2012 Bartender of the Year and hailed as “The People’s Champion of Bartending” by Mutineer Magazine, he is also President of Unlimited Liabilities, an elite bar/spirits industry company comprised of some of the best bar talent in the world.

Davis will oversee Shaker & Spoon’s monthly box and recipe curation, helping bring the company to the forefront of cocktail subscription boxes via his extensive background and knowledge in the bartending and spirits industry.

"I'm ecstatic to partner with them to help curate the cocktails for their boxes," says Davis. "Shaker & Spoon is an amazing brand that is quickly becoming a household name. With my help, we hope to deliver the finest quality for the best price and inspire the next generation of at-home bartenders. I have big plans for Shaker & Spoon. Together we will share with our subscribers the best recipes, ingredients, and techniques used by top bartenders from around the world. We want to enhance the experience of drinking at home, on the go, or anywhere else."

Shaker & Spoon also feels that this partnership will help take the company to the next level.

“We are thrilled to have Russell join us,” said Mike Milyavsky, Founder & CEO of Shaker & Spoon. “He is an influential figure in the industry, always thinking of new and creative means of expression through cocktails. We want people to enjoy, appreciate, and be empowered by the experience of making a great cocktail, and now they can learn from the best! Our intention is to bring the craft cocktail experience to as many people as possible, and Russell is the perfect person to help us do that.”

Milyavsky and his partner, co-founder and CMO Anna Gorovoy, launched Shaker & Spoon six months ago, with the goal of giving their subscribers the knowledge and confidence to go beyond just pouring a glass of wine or opening a beer. Shaker & Spoon provides all the ingredients needed (besides the alcohol) to create the perfect mixed drink for any occasion in the comfort of your own home.

About Shaker & Spoon

Shaker & Spoon was founded in October 2015 in Brooklyn, NY. Unlike other cocktail subscription boxes, Shaker & Spoon sends its original recipes and cocktail ingredients while allowing subscribers to buy the liquor themselves, according to their budget and preferred brands. Shaker & Spoon currently produces house-made specialty syrups—and will soon be expanding into other branded lines of ingredients—while aiming to source the best of everything else. Each month, subscribers receive a box with three new, unique recipes developed by various bartenders along with everything they need to make a total of twelve drinks, besides the alcohol. ($50 for a month-to-month subscription, $135 for 3-month prepay, $250 for 6-month, and $480 for 12-month). They can skip or cancel anytime. Shaker & Spoon also provides supplemental content on its website for those who want a deeper dive, including how-to videos, a glossary of bar terms, and—just launched!—a blog featuring tips and tricks, food pairings, bartender interviews, and more.
