Holiday Retirement Celebrates the Heritage of Home Cooking
LAKE OSWEGO, Ore. (PRWEB) April 05, 2016 -- Holiday Retirement is celebrating the tradition of home cooking with a new program initiative featuring senior nutritional resources, expert health and wellness tips and favorite chef and resident recipes. From Sunday dinners to special holiday meals, home recipes are treasured by families and passed down from one generation to the next. Holiday is honoring the heritage of food in our senior living communities, and inviting guests to share in the delicious meals and stories shared around the dinner table – from our family to yours.
As part of this program, recipes will be collected from residents through May and select recipes will be featured at a ‘tasting day’ celebration across Holiday Retirement communities where chefs will prepare time-tested meals for residents to enjoy. In addition, a select number of resident recipes will be featured in Holiday’s first cookbook release, “Home Cooking, From Our Family to Yours – Featuring Resident and Chef Recipes from Holiday Retirement,” available this winter.
Available now is a free downloadable eBook entitled: Eating will for an active, healthy retirement. The eBook, and additional information on the home cooking program, are located at http://www.holidaytouch.com/homecooking.
“At Holiday, we love learning about each resident’s traditions and family history, and what better way to celebrate this heritage than around the dining table with friends?” said Jamison Gosselin, Holiday Retirement’s senior vice president of marketing, communications and resident enrichment. “Our commitment to great food and shared dining experiences at each of our senior living communities will be enriched by this wonderful initiative for residents and prospective resident alike.”
