Local Non-Profit Celebrates Success in Addressing Homelessness, Education and Cultural Integration
Costa Mesa, California (PRWEB) April 06, 2016 -- Nearly 200 guests are expected to gather on April 23rd at the Chuck Jones Center in Costa Mesa for We’re Better Together – An Evening of Celebration and Support, an inaugural event to support Costa Mesa-based nonprofit Trellis.
The event creates the opportunity to raise awareness and support for Trellis to continue providing the critical framework that unites and strengthens individuals, churches and businesses with one common goal: to heal the City of Costa Mesa. Trellis takes action through prayer, love and engagement to address the key initiatives of homelessness, education, cultural integration and neighboring. All of these initiatives have been identified as being critical to healing the people and City of Costa Mesa.
Ian Stevenson, Executive Director of Trellis, shared, “We’re Better Together—An Evening of Celebration and Support marks five years of positive change. It is an important time to celebrate Trellis’ success in addressing the top initiatives that provide the greatest potential for the growth of individuals, families, businesses and our City as a whole. Through the growing network of Trellis, we have helped countless people facing homelessness get off the streets, have seen direct results in improvements to education, and have integrated cultures, including bringing neighborhoods together. These initiatives are intricately connected, with one deeply affecting the other, and there is still much work to be done. It is our hope the event will inspire guests to support Trellis through prayer, engagement and financial giving.”
