Bottlenose, the smart data discovery company, today announced the issuance of a patent that covers technologies the company has developed for machine-based content analysis and sentiment tracking of microcontent using natural language processing. This patent represents the 7th patent issued to Bottlenose by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

The new patent, issued on April 5, 2016, broadly covers Bottlenose’s ability to apply NLP to social data, including for sentiment analysis, topic detection, co-occurrence graphing, and trend detection.
