Corporate Wellness Certification Includes Gilsbar Presentation
Covington, LA (PRWEB) April 07, 2016 -- Doug Layman, the President of Gilsbar Health & Life, presented “ROI…ShmarOI: Taking Wellness ROI Discussions to Another Level” to the 7th Annual Employer Healthcare & Benefits Congress in the fall of 2015. This presentation was selected by the Corporate Health & Wellness Association (CHWA), a non-profit association created by employers for employers, to be included in their Certified Corporate Wellness Specialist certification process as a new module in the 2016 course.
This presentation focuses on measuring the value of corporate wellness programs, rather than merely the return on investment, and Doug placed employers into three categories: the Victims, Just “Enuffers,” and the companies that believe that healthy people create healthy businesses. After sharing more about these categories, Doug discussed how companies can truly create a culture of health that engages employees and improves their bottom line.
On the inclusion of Mr. Layman’s presentation to the 2016 Corporate Wellness Certification course, Sarah Hunt, of the Corporate Health & Wellness Association, noted, “We always hear about ROI, ROI, ROI…Well, what about VOI (Value) or COI (Care)? The value and care of what we do and how we do it, versus JUST the hard monetary return.”
Gilsbar is proud to be a part of this certification process and continuing our tradition of building healthy employees and stronger businesses.
