South Florida Pain Relief Center Now Offering Platelet Rich Plasma Injections
Miami, FL (PRWEB) April 07, 2016 -- South Florida Pain Relief Center, located at 351 Le Jeune Road, is excited to announce that it is offering an innovative pain relief and management procedure, Platelet Rich Plasma Injections (PRP). Dr. Julia C. Sanchez, MD, administers PRP Injections to patients suffering from chronic musculoskeletal pain or injury.
PRP Injections are a non-surgical option for pain management that utilizes blood plasma containing a high concentration of platelets to accelerate healing and reduce pain in soft tissue. This minimally-invasive procedure involves drawing blood from the patient, separating the plasma from the blood using a centrifuge machine, and injecting this portion of plasma, rich in platelets, back into the patient at the source of the pain or injury.
“Until recently, as interventional pain medicine specialists, we have been offering excellent techniques to relieve chronic musculoskeletal pain but most recently, newer and innovative techniques have been emerging (such as PRP and mesenchymal stem cell injections) to not only relieve the patient’s pain but also to aid in tissue healing. This is why it is so exciting to be able to offer these techniques to my patients and why I strive to implement cutting edge technology and procedures to help my patients in this rapidly evolving specialty,” said Dr. Sanchez.
Dr. Sanchez is a fellowship-trained and board-certified pain medicine physician who has been in practice since 2010. Dr. Sanchez has been trained by the most prestigious of educational facilities, including the Luis Razetti School of Medicine at Universidad Central de Venezuela, the Yale University program at Bridgeport Hospital and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, at which she served her fellowship.
