Pause Meditation Salon will celebrate its grand opening on Friday, April 29, 2016, with prize drawings and free meditation sessions all day, 10:00am to 6:00pm.

The first venue of its kind in the Midwest, Pause Meditation Salon features private, touchscreen suites for individuals, group classes and one-on-one instruction. Owner Kim Colegrove, local meditation instructor and 40-year veteran of the practice, brings 5 years of corporate meditation instruction to her new venture.

“Our approach is very mainstream,” says Colegrove, whose original training was in Transcendental Meditation in the 1970s. “We’re targeting people who haven’t traditionally been into meditation but are seeking ways to reduce stress and deepen their life experience. On one end of the meditation spectrum there’s spirituality, and at the other end is science. We’re right in the middle.”

“Anyone from Type A corporate go-getters to stay-home moms can learn to meditate – and should. Nearly every day a study is released confirming the incredible health benefits of meditation. It’s the next big wave in wellness.”
