The latest research suggests that online reviews are now a major factor in the decision-making process for patients when searching for a new provider.
According to a 2015 Bright Local Survey, 92 percent of all consumers read online reviews for local businesses. Additionally, 68 percent trust local businesses with positive reviews more, and only 13 percent would consider a business with a low rating.
The challenge for any medical practice is accumulating positive reviews, protecting against negative reviews, and ensuring that patients can easily find its positive reviews.
In response to these challenges, MedPB has released its new Online Review Builder service for medical practices. The Online Review Builder software provides four unique benefits to medical practice owners.
First, reviews for any one practice are often spread across the internet on various review sites. Online Review Builder allows practices to automatically display all reviews from the various review sites in a single location on the practice’s main website.
Second, the software makes it easy for patients to post positive reviews. All patients can be directed to a single page, and within a few clicks, will be taken directly to the review site of their choice. After the review is posted, it will be displayed on the practice’s website.
Third, when a patient attempts to post a negative review, the software will prompt the patient to contact the practice. This provides the practice with one final opportunity to resolve the issue, to prevent the negative review, and to potentially retain a patient that would have otherwise been lost.
And fourth, the software allows practice owners to manage their online reputation in real time, as the software notifies the owner each time a review is posted. The owner will receive notifications of any published negative reviews, which will allow for prompt responses.
