David Birchmier, Founder and CEO of southeast Iowa based software and application developer MPA, had never been out of the country before taking the 24-hour flight to Malaysia. The mission: showcase Tymeshift (an app that MPA has developed) to Lazada, a multinational company which could be referred to as “the Amazon of Malaysia” with more than 5,000 employees.
Software and application developers at MPA have always been driven to provide solutions for not only their clients, but themselves as well. What started as an answer to their own, internal time-tracking needs quickly grew to become one of the best agent monitoring and workforce management tools (currently only available within industry favorite helpdesk solution Zendesk). The app increased efficiency for MPA and also reduced the need for employee training.
According to Justin Hill, Creative Director at MPA, “What began as a frustration has now transformed into a meaningful product for thousands of users around the world.”
But Lazada isn’t the end-point for Tymeshift and MPA. Rather, “MPA is pursuing partnerships with more companies with customer support center, like Lazada, because we believe Tymeshift is an ideal Agent Tracking & Monitoring solution for Zendesk,” states Birchmier.
