Prism and Axis Communications Partner to Create Visual Sensors for Business
SAN FRANCISCO (PRWEB) April 07, 2016 -- Today Prism and Axis Communications announced a collaboration that brings Prism’s analytics and visual access capabilities to the latest AXIS M30 Series of mini dome network cameras that launched in late March. Through this integration, businesses will be able to run the Prism platform directly on the Axis network camera, establishing camera-to-cloud connectivity for business intelligence data.
“Through the AXIS Camera Application Platform (ACAP), Prism is able to extend the value of the camera from beyond video to all types of visual and analytical data,” said Alex Walthers, Business Development Manager, Application Development Partner (ADP) Program, Axis Communications, Inc. “The ACAP mission is to give customers the capabilities they want from our cameras, and enable partners like Prism to deliver.”
Leading brands around the world use Prism to transform cameras into connected networks of visual sensors that can be used to remotely view, analyze, and report on activity to make more effective business decisions. Prism couples its analytical visualizations with industry-first privacy protection capabilities that deliver valuable insights without infringing on individual consumer privacy.
These powerful cameras enable the full set of Prism capabilities including counting, traffic mapping, dwell, and pathmapping -- all accessible through Prism’s award-winning user interface. The AXIS M30 Series is priced starting at $199, which enables cost-effective deployments that are accessible for small to enterprise businesses.
“More and more customers are investing on cameras to maximize coverage for data collection,” said Bob Cutting, COO and co-founder at Prism. “Axis Communications is a great partner that shares our vision of the expanded use of cameras as visual sensors, and we are proud to have Axis as part of our global ecosystem of Prism-compatible intelligent devices.”
Prism has been a long term member of Axis’ ADP Program and together, they have deployed their joint solutions around the world. Prism operating directly on Axis cameras takes the combined solution to the next level, enabling an all-in-one solution that meets the analytical needs of their shared customers.
Prism and Axis Communications will be showcasing the solution at ISC-West. To see the new line of cameras and Prism in action, stop by the Axis Communications booth #14051.
