Solix Partners with Dell Digital Business Services Partners to Transform Business Results with Big Data
Santa Clara, Calif. Dell will resell the Solix Big Data Suite on a pre-installed Dell hardware appliance and provide application management services to simplify the deployment of enterprise archiving, application retirement and analytics applications based on Apache Hadoop.
Apache Hadoop is an ideal common data platform for ILM applications because it offers very low-cost bulk data storage and advanced analytics applications on an enterprise scale. By processing large data sets in parallel on commodity hardware, Apache Hadoop is able to reduce infrastructure costs up to 50X for nearly any workload. The Solix Big Data Suite provides the ILM application framework to capture those savings including enterprise archiving, application retirement, test data management and data masking on Apache Hadoop.
