Praeclarus Press Acquires Hale Publishing Company's List of Titles and Expands Its Offerings on Breastfeeding and Women's Health
Amarillo, Texas (PRWEB) April 13, 2016 -- Praeclarus Press was founded in 2011 by Kathleen Kendall-Tackett, PhD, IBCLC, FAPA, with the goal of bringing the most up-to-date research on women's health topics to healthcare professionals and the communities they serve. In addition to working with experts in their respective fields, the press uses a business model that allows for lower production costs, making it able to offer books and other resources at an affordable price point. Currently Praeclarus Press produces books, monographs, white papers, webinars, online conferences and original artwork. As of April 2016, Praeclarus Press has produced 36 titles covering a variety of aspects on women's health including: breastfeeding, perinatal mental health, childbirth education, doulas, and general women's health. On April 1, 2016, the effective date of the acquisition of Hale Publishing company's list of titles, 43 titles were added to Praeclarus Press' catalog.
Dr. Kendall-Tackett has been an author for 29 years, and has been the author and/or editor of 30 books and authored more than 400 articles or chapters. In addition, Kendall-Tackett edits two peer-reviewed journals: the US Lactation Consultant Association's journal, Clinical Lactation, and the American Psychological Association's journal, Psychological Trauma. Dr. Kendall-Tackett was Hale Publishing's acquisitions and development editor from 2008 to 2010, where she started the Clinics in Human Lactation Monograph Series and edited many of the books on Hale Publishing's list. Kendall-Tackett says, "I'm excited to be working with the authors I knew from Hale Publishing once again, and am looking forward to working with their newer authors."
